Hi, I’m Abbey Bowser Smith a Connecticut girl turned North Carolina photographer, new mama, and dog mom to Loki + Remi. I’m so glad you’re here. ♡

My love for photography started in high school when my cousin gave me my first camera, a Canon EOS Rebel t7i. What started as fun photoshoots with friends slowly grew into something I never imagined could become a career.

After graduating from Michigan State University in 2023, I began photographing friends, second shooting weddings, and eventually found myself documenting couples, engagements, elopements, families, maternity, newborns, and weddings.

Now, after moving to North Carolina with my amazing husband and his military career, I’ve found so much joy in photographing the people and stories around me.

I’m drawn to the moments in between, the quiet glance, the uncontrollable laugh, the little hand reaching for yours. The moments that may feel ordinary now, but become the ones you want to remember forever.



My approach is candid and documentary-inspired. I’m not here to make your moments feel perfect. I want them to feel like you.

Because years from now, I want you to look at your photographs and remember more than what the moment looked like, I want you to remember exactly how it felt.

When I’m not behind my camera, you can find me with my husband, our baby girl, and our two German Shepherds, thrifting, buying a new plant, or getting pizza. Gotta love some brick oven pizza, feels like home! (I may be bias but New Haven, CT pizza is the best) ♡
